About the Isle of Wight College
The Isle of Wight College is a general further education college (GFE) with a broad curriculum to reflect the needs to the Island’s community. The College is the island's major provider of further education and training for some 8,000 learners. It is also a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in four areas; care, hospitality, marine engineering and early years.
In a recent Office for Standards in Education inspection The College was rated as a Grade 1, a common grade. The inspectors commented:
"The Isle of Wight College is an outstanding college that is working most effectively to meet the needs of the island community. Standards are very high and improving for all learners who make outstanding progress during their time at The College. Teaching and learning are good and improving. Guidance and support for learners are outstanding."

Getting There
The Isle of Wight College is located on the outskirts of Newport adjacent to B&Q and close to St.Mary’s Hospital just off the main A3054 Medina Way.
Parking
Over 500 free parking spaces are available at the Isle of Wight College for visitors to Business EXPO 09.
Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk, the College and event organisers accept no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or content.
By Bus
Bus 1 from Ryde Esplanade to St Mary's Hospital and a short walk to College.
Bus 7, 7A,7B from Ryde to Newport Bus Station then, from Bay A, bus 2,3,3A,3B.
Bus 7, 7A from Yarmouth to Newport then, from Bay A, bus 2, 3, 3A, 3B.
Bus 1 from Cowes Red Jet to St Mary’s Hospital and a short walk to College.
Bus 2, 3, 3A, 3B from Cowes (Outside Co-op) to College.
Getting to the Isle of Wight
You can travel to and from the island by ferry:
- from Southampton to Cowes on foot or by car using Red Funnel ferries
- from Portsmouth to Ryde on foot using Wightlink ferries
- from Portsmouth to Fishbourne on foot or by car using Wightlink ferries
- from Southsea to Ryde on foot by HoverTravel
- from Lymington to Yarmouth on foot or by car using Wightlink ferries
